Leadership is not about positions, it's about inspiring lives !!

Leadership is the most often required skill across all living beings in our universe because this is the art which decides the present and future of your community as a whole. Leadership is a very big phenomenon in itself. It's not about positions but it's about inspiring lives! A successful leader is the one who leads from the front and at the same time have equal attention at the back too.

Being a leader, your life is not only about your personal issues but also of the community which follows you! Also, leadership is not restricted to political parties or socio-corporate organisations, it's a universal skill which we need in our day-to-day practice; be it a student, professional, employee, entrepreneur, etc.

I have been getting requests from many of my peers and friends about emphasizing on leadership, and what a day to write this article; today on the birth anniversary of great legend and warrior king Maharana Pratap who is remembered as one of the greatest leaders of all time in Indian history. I bow down to him on this occasion.

Hereby I am sharing some leadership hacks which can change our perspective towards being a successful leader which many great leaders pursue and practice. It's a simple 3 step success formula - VIP.

Visionary -  Your vision decides your future. This is one of the most important quality a leader should possess. Your initiative skills play a crucial role in this.  

It is evident in history that great leaders like Shivaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap, Chandragupta Maurya had one thing in common - being visionary. Even in life, we come across many such situations where we neglect the hint given by nature and regret later by facing consequences of the same and lost opportunity. So think before and while you act.

Inspiring -  A leader's life should touch and inspire the communities who believe in him. His life should set benchmarks for others. He needs to have that discipline which he needs in his team, he should be an ethics-oriented person in himself. Leadership demands sacrifices. We still remember lord Rama as Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram because of all the sacrifices and discipline we have seen in his life. Inspiration should be action-oriented which proves our actions and words inline.

Positive Attitude - Our Belief is our biggest strength and positivity in our belief system and thought process makes us successful. A leader should motivate and encourage his team members with his on-ground support. Through motivation and positive attitude, a leader should empower changes at the root levels. Sometimes, we may ever see that the situation is not under our control, but still achieving something with dedication and positive attitude is what we can always learn from a successful leader's life.

A leader needs to learn from the past, be alert in the present and live with the hope of seeing a better future - a future that will be brighter and more promising for the coming generation. Whatever you want to be in life - a doctor, engineer, teacher, actor etc. do not let your best efforts fall short to accomplish what you do and be a leader in that.
